THE FIRST PEACE
Spring, 150 YA - Xerxes, Bathsheba, Tiara, and Alastor are born into the herd. Due to their close ages, the quad of young equines bond together quickly.
Winter, 145 YA - When the young four came to age, Xerxes made the decision to do battle with the ruling head of the council that had governed the land for as long as anyone could remember. Xerxes won and with that, the council disbanded. Xerxes established a new monarchy, dubbing himself and Bathsheba the King and Queen of Dawn. He then banished Alastor and Tiara to the cold Wastelands to the North.
Spring, 144 YA - Alastor and Tiara arrived in the Wastelands, a desolate wretch of lands avoided by all of those formerly in the herd. With them came a band of followers. They were not immediately called anything, though the followers looked to Alastor and Tiara to lead them.
Summer, 109 YA - Despite the violence with which the banishment had occurred, no fighting occurred between the fledgling factions in the first thirty five years of their existence. Some internal battles were fought - Xerxes faced a single challenger when he was in his late teens but won handily enough. The horses of the Wastelands found themselves battling wolves, cold, and starvation.
Fall, 109 YA - King Xerxes passed. His son, Kyros, ascended to the throne. Bathsheba became the Queen Mother. Kyros took for his queen a lovely mare named Vanada.
Winter, 107 YA - Alastor and Tiara died of starvation and cold. They bore no heir and the Wastelanders were left leaderless.
Winter, 101 YA - Queen Mother Bathsheba passed.
Spring, 98 YA - Demetria and Necalli rose up to take control of the horses of the Wastelands. The lovers were essential in the establishment of what would be the Wasteland Monarchy. The mares helped to establish ranks and regulations to the Wastelanders and organized the herds that went down enough to the newest Conflict.
Summer, 90 YA - Queen Vanada met with her end at the jaws of a wolf pack, shortly before herself and Kyros were meant to name an heir to the Throne of Dawn. Barely a week later, Kyros vanished. Rumors abounded for weeks that he slipped into the Void. Kyros was never heard from again. Aeron, a grandson of Bathsheba, ascended to the throne.
Early Fall, 90 YA - Demetria and Necalli approached King Aeron with an offer of peace, as they had extended to Kyros and Vanada. However, it did not work. The pair returned to the Wastelands with concern that Aeron might march to war.
THE FIRST CONFLICT
Spring, 89 YA - Aeron began the first of many raids into the Wastelands. His warriors killed at will across the herds. Demetria and Necalli were all but powerless, as their lands were sprawling and their numbers few.
Early Summer, 88 YA - Demetria and Aeron met in battle near the Sands. The Dawnlanders and Wastelanders clashed with them, battling all around. Aeron successfully slew Demetria in the battle, leaving Necalli the sole leader of the Wasteland equines.
Early Fall, 88 YA - In a terrible battle close to the Fissure between the Dawnlanders and the Wastelanders, Aeron finally met with his doom. Rumors abound for decades to come that it was Necalli who pushed him over the edge of the Fissure, where his bones still lie now.
THE SECOND PEACE
Late Fall, 88 YA - Following the death of Aeron, Reginar and Ruxandra rose to become the new King and Queen of Dawn. Necalli established with them a few peace that lasted for several decades following Aeron’s Mad War. Many of the Dawnlanders disagreed with this. The three rulers worked together to establish the Strip as a neutral zone.
Summer, 85 YA - Necalli named an heir and passed shortly afterwards. However, the heir, a mare whose name has been lost to time, was quickly overrun by a group of stallions, who brutalized and then slew her. The stallions, Solomon, Chronicle, Cauldron, Ozymandias, became known as the Unrest, due to the horror they sowed amongst the Wasterlanders.
Winter, 80 YA - The Unrest ruled together for five years, causing fighting and hell within the Wastelanders during that time. Then Solomon killed Ozymandias, and Cauldron murdered Chronicle, leaving the two stallions the sole rulers of the Wastelands. During this time, the King and Queen of Dawn decided to simply watch the events unfold rather than attack as they could have.
Spring, 77 YA - Reginar passed. Ruxandra chose another mate and continued to observe the Time of the Unrest in the Wastelands.
Winter, 75 YA - During a particularly nasty winter, Solomon and Cauldron were killed by the two equines who would become the new rulers of the Wasteland, in cohorts with a group of Wastelanders who had grown weary of the Unrest.
Winter, 75 YA - Roshan and Valdis take over the Wastelands. An end was put to the in-fighting and re-established the herds. The equines they picked to lead were horses loyal solely to them. Roshan in particularly made sure to pick horses that were skilled in warfare and battle.
Summer, 74 YA - Ruxandra met her death thanks to two partnered stallions, Cog and Hurricane.
THE SECOND CONFLICT
Spring, 73 YA - Against the wishes of his mate, two years into their rule, Roshan began to lead raids against the Dawnlanders.
Spring, 20 YA - The Second Conflict lasted for more than 50 years total, leaving hundreds dead across the generations. Cog and Hurricane were killed in a massive battle during the reign of Valdis and Roshan.
THE THIRD PEACE
Spring, 20 YA - The Age of the Third Peace began. A stallion and mare named Astharoth and Calixa rose to power in the Dawnlands while a brother-sister pair named Cathedral and Delphi took over in the Wastelands.
THE THIRD CONFLICT
Winter, 17 YA - Astharoth, against the desires of his Queen, once more declared war on the Wastelanders. He personally led raids on the Wastelanders for years and years.
Fall and Winter, 1 YA - After countless raids, skirmishes, and battles, a terrible war was fought on the Sands between the armies of the Wastelanders and Dawnlanders. King Cathedral was slew by Dawn King Astharoth but the Dawn Queen Calixa was also slain. Astharoth, wracked with grief, vanished before the battle even ended. Delphi, sick with sorrow over the loss of her brother, died soon after.
THE FOURTH PEACE
Spring, Year 1 - The Wastelanders and Dawnlanders are leaderless.
